Dear Doc Fellows 2026

Doc’s Kingdom is proud to announce the results of the 2026 open call for the Dear Doc Fellowships. Now in its tenth edition, the Dear Doc fellowship programme currently supports four emerging film professionals from Portugal and two international experienced film programmers in attending the 2026 seminar. The Portugal-based fellows are:

Camila Vale is a filmmaker and visual artist. She explores the materiality of film and the moving image through cinema and installation. She combines creative practice, teaching and archival work.

Maíra Zenun (1982) is a transdisciplinary artist, educator, curator and poet, whose practice brings together social sciences, motherhood, and the visual and cinematic arts.

Mariana Frias is a visual artist, researcher and specialist in the repair and restoration of film heritage. Her work combines artistic creation, archiving and programming.

Violeta Mora is a Central American weaver of threads, images and sounds. Her work has been exhibited at film festivals and cultural institutions across the Americas, Asia and Europe.

The recipients of the Dear Doc Fellowship for Programmers are:
