Programmed by Elena Duque, Doc’s Kingdom will present a series of surprise sessions, debates open to the community with more than 100 participants, entitled CUT-ACROSS.
After eight years in Arcos de Valdevez, the International Seminar on Documentary Film returns to the Alentejo, this time in the city of Odemira, recalling its origins in Serpa in 2000. Throughout its itinerancy, between Baixo Alentejo and Alto Minho, the Atlantic (Azores) and the Tejo (Almada), Doc’s Kingdom has shown that it doesn’t belong to one place, but that it is integrated and connected to each of the places in which it takes place.
CUT—ACROSS

This year’s guest filmmakers and artists will be announced on October 12. Until then, there is a discount on the registration fee.
Immersive and intensive program
Doc’s Kingdom is a meeting place conceived as an immersive and integral experience, with a secret program up to the start of each screening, debates with and between filmmakers, convivial meals and tours.
Registration guarantees access to the entire Doc’s Kingdom 2023 program in Odemira, from the afternoon of November 30 to midday on December 5, including all the film screenings, debates, meals, tours and other activities planned. The guest filmmakers and artists for this edition will be announced on October 12.
Since 2022, registration for Doc’s Kingdom does not include accommodation. See below the list of Partner Hotels with special conditions offered by hotels in Odemira and São Luiz. They are always limited in the number of rooms and with specific deadlines for booking and payment, which are the responsibility of each participant and each hotel.
The Doc’s Kingdom organization will facilitate communication between those who wish to share rooms. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to receive information about booking accommodation in a shared room with other participants.
Registration
Those who are able to contribute other amounts consistent with their financial capacity, registration can go up to 280€ in order to make the discounted rates offered to students and other categories viable.
